Each race that you run is a snapshot in time – we have worked with 100’s of athletes to help them prepare for a race to enjoy their best possible race experience. We have partnered with a number of races to provide support systems for their runners to prepare for each race in a way that connects those runners with joy, with a positive attitude, with rational expectations, with enthusiasm, and with directed nervous energy. The key to your best race experience is guided imagery. Guided imagery has been successfully used by many elite athletes preparing for competition across a broad spectrum of sports since the 1960’s. David Hemery, a Great Britain athlete won a gold medal and set a new WR in the men’s 400m high hurdles at the 1968 Mexico Olympics having visualized exactly what he would need to do to beat every other athlete in the field. “The more an athlete can image the entire package, the better it’s going to be,” said Nicole Detling, a sports psychologist with the United States Olympic team. Until now, guided imagery has only been available through employing a sports psychologist, whose expertise and techniques are very effective, and costly to everyday athletes. activacuity® brings the expertise of a sports psychologist into a user friendly, accessible app that delivers audio sessions that guide the user to connect with their imagination in a powerful and positive way.  A session can involve visual, auditory & kinesthetic (movement or physical feelings) imagery.
